Detailed PAPER Analysis: NEET 2018
Approximately 13.4 lakh students appeared for this exam in 2018 comparison to 11.4 lakh in the year 2017. NEET 2018 was slightly easier than last year's papers. The questions were not time consuming and we also saw similarities between the weightage of marks in NEET paper and the 12th standard syllabus (focus in NCERT).
OVERALL MARKS DISTRIBUTION The paper had 180 questions each worth 4 marks. All questions were objective type with single correct option. There were 45 questions from Physics and Chemistry, and 90 questions were from Biology (Zoology and Botany sections of Biology).

SECTION WISE ANALYSIS:
Physics
The toughest section out of all. There were 24 questions asked from the 12th standard syllabus and 21 questions from the 11th standard syllabus. This section had 2 difficult questions, 9 moderate questions and 34 easy questions. Physics was a bit lengthy and also calculation intensive.

Chemistry
It was of moderate level in terms of its difficulty. 20 questions were asked from the 12th standard syllabus and 20 questions from the 11th standard syllabus. This section had 1 difficult question, 20 moderate questions and 24 easy questions. Most questions were based on simple concepts.

Biology:
Biology was the easiest section but lengthy. 46 questions were from the 12th standard syllabus and 44 questions from the 11th standard syllabus. This section had 9 difficult questions, 33 moderate questions and 448 easy questions. Most of the questions were directly from NCERT and were concept based.

We can conclude that the overall difficulty level of the paper was quite similar to last year. Physics was considered the toughest and was also lengthy. Biology was the easiest with more focus in NCERT.
