  • 50% of total seats to be filled in by ACPC, GoG: These seats will be filled in by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat. These seats shall be filled-in from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat including Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, and have appeared in CEPT Aptitude Test. These seats shall be filled as per the guidelines of ACPC. Candidate has to apply to ACPC, GoG.

 

  • 50% of total seats to be filled in by CEPT University (All India Category): These seats shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in India (including Gujarat State, Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli) and have appeared in CEPT Aptitude Test. Merit list for these seats shall be prepared by CEPT University. Candidate has to apply to CEPT University

Eligibility for seats to be filled in by CEPT University (All India Category):

Candidate must have passed HSC (10+2) Examination from Gujarat state board or any other State board with Science Stream or its equivalent in CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/ISB/IB with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer as optional subject (all at higher/advance level), securing a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

Note:

  • In all the cases, aggregate will be calculated based on all the subjects including languages, optional courses, practical examination etc. Failure in any subject disqualifies the candidature. Applicants having equivalent qualifications other than that stated above will have to submit an attested copy of equivalence certificate from the appropriate authority along with the application.
  • Candidates awaiting HSC result will have to produce a certificate from the principal of the high school that he/she has appeared in the XII Standard examination of the Science Stream. Candidates who have applied for verification/rechecking of marks may also apply and submit the rechecking certificate. All the candidates must submit final mark sheet on or before the stipulated date and time and satisfy the minimum requirements failing which admission will not be granted/ forfeited.

 

 

Evaluation process:

Evaluation will be done in three stages as mentioned below:

Stage 1–Scrutiny for eligibility: All applications received will be scrutinized based on information provided/uploaded in the application forms. This scrutiny is to check whether the applicant meets the eligibility criteria. Only those applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and pass the scrutiny will be considered for Stage 2 (Aptitude Test).

Stage 2 – Aptitude Test: All eligible applicants will be called for aptitude test. It is mandatory for all the eligible applicants to appear in the aptitude test to be conducted by CEPT University for considering in the merit list of admission. Absence in any test will disqualify the applicant from admission.

Aptitude Test will be made up of 2 Modules:

Module 1: Drawing based on Visual Perception

Drawing based questions will be based on the theme of Perception, Observation, Creativity, Imagination, Analysis.

Module 2: MCQs(Multiple Choice Questions)

Logical Reasoning, Basic principles of Maths and Science, Social and cultural awareness, Design awareness, Problem Solving, English Communication.

Stage 3 – Preparation of merit list: Candidates will be selected based on aggregate score of HSC and performance in the aptitude test at CEPT University, Ahmedabad.

The final list of merit order would be based on the following weightage:

Aptitude Test Score Weightage - 70%

HSC Aggregate Score Weightage-30%

 

Important Instructions

GUJCET or JEE or NATA scores are not being considered in evaluation process. The evaluation will be based on HSC scores and Aptitude test only.

It is mandatory for all the eligible applicants to appear in all the stages of the aptitude test conducted at CEPT University for consideration in the merit list of admission. Absence in any test disqualifies the applicant from the admission process.

At a time of counseling candidates are required to be present and will be admitted in the order of the final merit list on the spot.

If the candidate is unable to fulfill any of the above criteria he/she becomes disqualified from the admissions process.
